Volunteer Opportunity

The Cycle Sequatchie Century & 3 Mtn Challenge is the CBC’s biggest fundraiser and we need our members’ help to ensure its success.

Can you be a friendly face at a rest stop, helping to prepare and serve snacks and drinks to ensure that participants are hydrated and fueled along the ride?

Can you help riders make correct turns and safely navigate road crossings by serving as a course marshal?

How about helping with packet pickup the morning of the event?

Every volunteer will receive an event t-shirt along with food and beer tickets.

You can see the full listing of volunteer positions by clicking here!

Bakers! One more area of need that is not listed on the signup website: The three CBC-sponsored rest stops are known for the delicious homemade baked goods provided by our club members. If you are able to help with this, please email Sharon Russell.

Thanks in advance!

About: Insurance for CBC Rides and Events

The Chattanooga Bicycle Club purchases both General Liability and Participant Accident Insurance coverage on an annual basis each year.

Volunteers and club members are covered when participating in club activities. An activity must be posted on the club calendar to be considered a club event.

Rides not posted on our calendar – even when led by club members – are excluded from coverage and the club assumes no liability for any incidents that may occur on such rides.

Non-members are covered during their FIRST club activity only.

Class 2 E-Bikes – those which can be throttle-controlled and do not require the operator to pedal – are no longer excluded from coverage. Please refer to our E-Bike Policy and Ride Guidelines for further information.

Mountain bike rides are covered for members and first-time invited guests only. It is required that all participants wear helmets and sign a waiver, and the event includes no tricks or timing.

Racing events are NOT covered.

Participant Accident Coverage can help pay for medical expenses incurred due to injury sustained during a club organized and supervised event. Coverage extends to members and first-time invited guests.

Should an incident occur while you are involved in a club activity, please contact a club officer. Be prepared to provide as much information as possible including names of participants involved, date/time, location, injuries, property damage, etc.
